If you have no active medical problems or are stable on general / psychiatric medications, you may be seen annually.
Patients with chronic medical issues must be seen at least every 6 months.
Patients with more serious conditions may need visits every 3 months.
For Medicare patients with chronic conditions, our staff will also conduct monthly telephone check-ins.
Patients with controlled substances have to be seen every 3 months and a MAPS will be reviewed. We have chosen this visit frequency to ensure your safety, especially if we are prescribing medications. Medicare calls are a strong suggestion of Medicare to prevent ER visits and admissions.
Refill requests are typically completed within 24 to 48 hours.
Urgent / Immediate refills – We are open 7 days a week. Please go to the clinic in person for a visit or arrange a telemedicine visit. We do not always check our messages as we are seeing patients all day, but we can see you in person ASAP to arrange this. Please plan ahead to avoid this situation. A last-minute emergent request is not fair to staff who are working hard all day.
Controlled substances require dedicated visits every 3 months. These visits cannot be combined with urgent care visits and will include documentation review (MAPS) and periodic drug testing.
We attempt to call patients with results as soon as possible.
You may see results in your hospital or Veradigm/Follow My Health portal before we do.
Please allow us time to review results thoroughly.
Urgent results are prioritized. If 24+ hours pass and you’ve received results without our call, please contact the clinic.
Copies of results are always available from our office.
We must see you as a patient to complete an outside request. Many specialists do not want to deal with the prior authorization process, even though they are the ones requesting specific imaging.
We need to document your request and get reimbursed for the time we will spend requesting this order. Please remember, if the specialist had ordered the exam in the first place, we would not have to do this.
We work with a trusted network of specialists and imaging providers. Referrals are usually completed within 3–5 business days. Urgent requests may be expedited if you let our staff know.

Insurance coverage is not guaranteed. Prior authorization may be required ad may be denied. This denial is due to your insurance company. If additional information is required, a telemedicine visit is required to gather the additional information for submittal. Please be aware that this may still result in a rejection from your insurance provider.
