What are Semaglutide or Tirzepatide and why is it prescribed for weight loss?

How are these medications used?
Semaglutide or Tirzepatide injections are administered under the skin once a week, 7 days apart. You may change the day of the week that you use the injection if it has been 5 or more days since you used your last dose. You will be started on the lowest dose of semaglutide or tirzepatide injection and can be increased every 4 weeks, at the monthly provider visit, until you reach the best therapeutic dose based on your body's response to the medication. Your dose effectiveness is determined through labs and biometric data and discussed at your monthly provider visit.
